About Contech

Ghanaian craftsmanship, delivered with discipline

We are a finishing company built by carpenters, plasterers and painters who believe a building should be finished as well as it is built.

Our story

From the roof truss to the final coat

Contech Construction is a Ghanaian finishing company. We pick up a building once the structure is complete and carry it through the trades that decide how it looks, feels and lasts: the timber roof, the joinery, the plaster, the ceilings, the décor and the paint.

Our approach is simple. One programme, one itemised quote and one accountable site lead, with each trade inspected before the next one starts. Homeowners, churches, schools, developers and businesses get a finish that is planned, not patched together.

Our mission

To give every Ghanaian building the finish it deserves — durable, beautiful and delivered with honesty.

Our vision

To be Ghana’s most trusted name in roofing, joinery and interior finishing.

Our values

Guided by adinkra wisdom

Adinkra symbols, created by the Akan people of Ghana, carry proverbs and principles. Three of them shape how we work.

Team & craftsmanship

Skilled hands, trained the right way

Our carpenters, plasterers, ceiling fixers and painters are Ghanaian tradespeople who know local timber, local materials and the local climate. We follow the apprenticeship tradition, pairing newer hands with experienced craftsmen so standards are passed on, not lost.

  • Trade-specific crews, each led by a foreman
  • Apprentices paired with experienced craftsmen
  • Quality checklists for every trade and every stage

Safety

Everyone goes home safe

  • Hard hats, safety boots, gloves and eye protection on site; dust masks for sanding and cutting
  • Scaffolds checked for base plates, bracing and guard rails before use; ladders tied off and footed
  • Harnesses for roof work and any open edge, with no one working alone at height
  • Short toolbox talk each morning on the day’s risks
  • Preservatives and paints stored, mixed and disposed of as the label directs
  • Power tools with guards, checked leads, and a first-aid kit on every site
  • Tidy, swept work areas and protected floors in occupied homes

Quality

Checked at every stage

  • Hold points before each trade starts, so defects are not covered up
  • Level, plumb and straight-edge checks on frames, walls and ceilings
  • Supervisor sign-off with dated photographs
  • Joint snagging walk with you at handover
  • Colour and product schedule handed over for future touch-ups
  • [Warranty terms — to be confirmed by Contech]

Sustainability

Responsibly sourced Ghanaian timber

Timber is a renewable material when it is managed well. We buy from licensed Ghanaian suppliers, favour legally harvested and plantation species, and plan cutting lists carefully to reduce waste. Off-cuts are reused for bracing, noggins and joinery where possible.

  • Timber bought from licensed suppliers, with legal-origin species
  • Optimised cutting lists to minimise waste
  • Low-VOC paints available on request
  • Local crews and materials, supporting Ghanaian livelihoods

How we work

From first call to handover

The same clear sequence on every project, whether it is one roof or a full fit-out.

  1. Step 01

    Call or message

Tell us about your building by phone, WhatsApp or the quote form. Drawings or a few photos help.

  2. Step 02

    Free site visit

We arrange a visit at a time that suits you, check the structure and take measurements.

  3. Step 03

    Itemised quote

You receive a line-by-line quote and a proposed programme for each trade.

  4. Step 04

    Work on site

One site lead runs the trades in order, with checks before each layer is covered.

  5. Step 05

    Handover

We walk the building with you, fix any snags and hand over colour and product schedules.

Work with a team that finishes properly

Whether it is one roof or a full fit-out, we would be glad to visit your site and talk it through.
